Southampton captain Van Dijk is highly linked to a move away from St.Mary stadium and Liverpool were leading the race to snatch him for the whole summer.But there looks a twist in the tale for Holland international.
James Dodd a journalist from Fox Sports News insists that Van Dijk's representatives met Arsenal chiefs a possible summer move.
Arsene Wenger is looking to upgrade his defence after his defense failed to capitalise against both Leicester as well as Stoke City.And arrival of Wesley Hoedt may indicate that Van Dijk is moving outwards despite Southampton insisting against selling the 26-year-old.
Van Dijk is not training with Southampton squad and is keen to move despite signing 6-Year-Deal last summer and reportedly handed in a transfer request recently.Gunners are pushing hard for the deal wanting to get it ASAP.
